I was born and grew up in Missouri before attending Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania. At an early age my father surrounded me with cameras. We had a dark room in the basement where he, and later my brother, would develop and print photos. My curiosity bloomed later and it wasn't until my college years that I ran across an old medium format Yashika set. I relearned the basics from my friend David Maxwell who is an accomplished photographer in his own right, and I have been shooting ever since.
